Ephemera is a broad term used to describe items of paper that were created for use in a short time span and meant to be thrown away after one or two uses. Items generally put into the ephemera category of collecting would be sheet music, posters, stock certificates, post cards, cigarette cards, magazines, catalogs, and the like.

St. Patrick's Day Vintage Postcards

I didn't want to let another holiday go by without posting some postcards from Madeline's collection. 

The shamrocks on these two are embossed and can be felt from the reverse side.  You can just barely notice it:

I guess the "Best Wishes" one could be used for any occasion, especially a wedding, but because it has a shamrock (4 leaf clover?) I filed it here.
