Ephemera:

Ephemera is a broad term used to describe items of paper that were created for use in a short time span and meant to be thrown away after one or two uses. Items generally put into the ephemera category of collecting would be sheet music, posters, stock certificates, post cards, cigarette cards, magazines, catalogs, and the like.

1939 World's Fair Brochures: The Capital Region; Niagara the Unconquered; and New England for your Vacation

This is the last of the batch of brochures I recently rediscovered:

This is a thick booklet on the wonders of the state capital of New York.

It contains many photos and the history of Albany.

A page on schools and education.

Limestone Caverns and Sharon Springs health resorts.

A little hard cover book about Niagara Falls

An aerial view of the Falls

Facts

Other great waterfalls

A large paper foldout map of New England to help you plan your vacation.

Interesting item about what is real Yankee cooking.
